In looking for something to post this week I was reminded of some of amazing works of art that members of our guild, the Edmonton Calligraphic Society, displayed at a showing in the Stanley Milner Library. This Doris Darbasie painting is particularly exciting. Quiet and delicate, Doris is known in the Edmonton art circles as one of the finest floral watercolorists. Her Orchid paintings are particularly yummy. So where, I'm wondering, did she get the vibrant burst of energy that is this creation?From our city, naturally.
